The Ollerod - Beaminster

The Ollerod isin the heart of beautiful Beaminster and surrounded by stunning countryside. This 700-year-old former priest’s house is steeped in history and character, offering award-winning accommodation.

This charming property offers traditional design with log fires in centuries-old inglenooks, stone-mullioned windows, oak beams and candles. The house maintains its original façade and has stylish, modern interiors.

Perfect for that spontaneous night away or to celebrate special occasions. The Ollerod offers 9 individually styled hotel bedrooms from cool modern to classic English,with ensuite bathrooms, beautiful Wild England organic eco toiletries which are made in Dorset, and the finest Italian bed linen.

Within easy reach of Dorsets fossil paradise, the Jurassic Coast, during your stay you can explore many sites of natural beauty, including Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Lyme Regis.

The hotel day starts from hour 16:00 and ends at 11:00.

Please note we no longer have a restaurant serving lunch dinner. We only do breakfast, and have a gorgeous bar offering a selection of snacks.

Four Poster Room. We have two four poster rooms with king-size beds, featuring a blend of Georgian high ceilings, cornices and shuttered windows with mahogany furniture and antiques. One of these rooms has a Philippe Starck walk-in shower and the other has a traditional bathroom with shower over. Please specify your preference when booking. Please note, this room is NOT pet friendly. ;
Superior Double or Twin Room. A choice of large bedrooms either in the 600-year-old wing of the building, with mullioned windows and stone fireplaces, or wonderful cottage suites with a mix of luxury bathrooms including a spa room and classic slipper bath. They overlook the stunning walled garden. ;
Deluxe Double or Twin Room. A mixture of country-style and contemporary rooms, along with one of the oldest in the hotel - 600 years (Room 3). Here lies the original priests hole used by the clergy to escape capture! One ground floor room (5) has been designed with easy access for the less able bodied. It is soon to have a large walk-in shower. There are limited views of the walled garden, mostly overlooking the walled, private car park. Please note that the kitchen fan, which goes off entirely during the night, can be faintly heard in the rooms by those who are sensitive to noise. ;
Small Double Room. Providing free toiletries and bathrobes, this double room includes a private bathroom with a bath, a shower and a hairdryer. This double room features a tea and coffee maker, a seating area, flat-screen TV with streaming services, as well as winechampagne for guests. The unit offers 1 bed. ;
Superior Double Room. First-floor room with a king-size bed and a standalone slipper bath with hand shower. Please note, this room is NOT pet friendly. ;
Deluxe Double Room. First-floor room with a king-size bed and a traditional showerbath. Please note that the kitchen fan, which goes off entirely during the night, can be faintly heard in the rooms by those who are sensitive to noise. Please note, this room is NOT pet friendly. ;
Superior Family Suite. This first-floor suite consists of a king size double room with 1 adjoining Twin Room (please see extra charges for additionalchildren in policies below). An en-suite bathroom with bath and shower is also featured. Please note, this room is NOT pet friendly.
